This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

I'm very happy that this restaurant exists in the neighborhood. With amazing broth and perfectly cooked house made noodles, this restaurant has become my go to whenever I'm hungry for Ramen. With a thoughtful interior design, tableware, water with slice of lemon, it shows that the Chef owner wants best for the customer. Can't praise enough about this lovely spot. Cary appreciates you!

An essential stop in Cary! I've tried ramen from several restaurants in the Triangle and The Noodle Smith gives most of them a run for their money! The owner and kitchen team really care about every aspect of the food and experience! The owner even trained in Japan for a while and is doing a lot to bring that authentic traditional experience to the area. We ordered the karaage appetizer, Clear Broth Shoyu Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen and a Matcha Pudding dessert. A 3-course meal for 2 people only came up to around $50 and the quality was amazing. The karaage was freshly fried upon order and the breading was different than any other place and had incredible texture! The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned all the way through! The Clear Broth was anything BUT plain - it was a perfectly balanced mixture of at least 3 different kinds of broth, served with a flavorful chasu slice and toppings. The Black Garlic ramen was also perfectly balanced and came with chasu and really juicy and flavorful chicken thigh slices. They make the noodles in-house each day and you can really taste the difference! Also don't underestimate/skip the dessert - it's also made in-house and is a creamy and refres
